Welcome to SPOA

We are over 1,000 members of active, associate, reserve, retired and honorary public safety officers. Our mission is to support the efficiency of the Sacramento Police Department, and to also serve the community through transparency and truth. Our vision is three words: Compassion. Honor. Connect. We appreciate your support in all we do.

Membership Info for Sacramento Police Officers Association

CLASS: ACTIVE
ELIGIBILITY: Sworn (SGT, PO), Dispatchers (I, II, III), CSO, and City Park Safety Ranger classifications
DUES: Set by SPOA Bylaws (Currently: 1.5% of top step Police Officer)

CLASS: ASSOCIATE
ELIGIBILITY: Sworn (LT and above), Civilian (Supervisors and above), & other SPD employee classifications
DUES: Set annually by BOD (Currently: 1.5% of top step Police Officer)

CLASS: RETIREE
ELIGIBILITY: Retired SPD sworn, police dispatchers, & CSO’s (May not be currently employed within the SPD reserve classification.)
DUES: Set annually by BOD (as identified below)
